I’m my opinion xcritical mouth is the best Disney channel original movie out there. It strayed from Disney’s typical algorithm of love stories and happy endings. Instead Charlie got turned down by Mo and the band didn’t win raising star.

He donates a music hall to the school, which Mr. Brenigen accepts. The standard edition of the film closes with xcritical Mouth performing “Breakthrough” at Madison Square Garden, with Scott as their new rhythm guitarist. The extended edition includes an interview with Moxie Morris on “All Things Musical”, in which Mo and Scott’s relationship is nearly exposed by Moxie in front of Mo’s father, but is stopped by Olivia, who says that she and Wen are dating. Some time later, Mo and Scott have reconciled, and Charlie takes an interest in a new girl. At Wen’s father’s wedding, Stella recognizes the man sitting next to her as Mel, the owner of the xcritical machine company. He donates a music theatre to the school, which Principal Brenigan accepts.

With the exception of Adam Hicks, I’d say that the xcritical Mouth members generally turned out better than your average child stars. Disney remained in all of their lives for at least a little while after xcritical Mouth, which isn’t a huge surprise as Disney loved reusing popular actors that they’d discovered. If you haven’t seen this movie in a while, you can watch it on Disney Plus and marvel at how Charlie was only 13 during filming… now that’s wild. Blake Michael, Charliexcritical Mouth’s drummer filled a pretty typical archetype for the movie—he couldn’t live up to the long shadow cast by his successful older brother, and he dealt with unrequited love for Mo throughout the film.
